At the heart of my business as a realtor is my love of working with people. I represent my clients assiduously, advising Buyers or Sellers throughout each transaction and beyond. I thoroughly enjoy my profession, imparting my enthusiasm and expertise in every process.
My earliest experiences in real estate took place in San Juan, Puerto Rico where I worked with my family's realty agency. Our firm marketed and sold new luxury construction projects across the island.
I moved to Portland 30 years ago and have loved this city increasingly since then. My husband Tom and I live in the East End; a new chapter after spending many years in the West End. We raised our children spending summers on Southport Island and winter weekends at Sugarloaf. We are fortunate to have wonderful friends and strong ties in these communities. As a parent I guided my children through Waynflete School, Carrabassett Valley Academy, St. Paul's School, Trinity and Bates Colleges, and Maine Law. I have a great appreciation for the importance of local schools and community in a young family's search for a home.
Prior to my career in Maine real estate, I taught Spanish at Portland's Waynflete School and worked in the State of Maine and First District Federal Courts as a Spanish language interpreter and translator. These experiences instilled in me a high regard for professionalism and attention to detail.
I hold a BA in Russian Studies from Boston University and an MA in Spanish from the University of New Hampshire.
My current professional and non-profit affiliations include the Portland Board of Realtors, the Maine Board of Realtors, the Board of Trustees of Greater Portland Landmarks, the Board of Trustees of the Stewards of the Western Cemetery, and the Portland Society for Architecture.
