As a broker, it may be cliché to say that my love of homes led to a career in Real Estate -- but it’s absolutely true! From location to architecture to finishes, I’m fascinated by the ever-changing housing trends and values. Having bought, sold, designed, built and renovated homes of my own, I joined the business with experience, knowledge, good instincts and plenty of enthusiasm.
My love of homes is surpassed by my interest in people. Applying my skills in a meaningful way makes each day gratifying. Having both analytical and creative tendencies, I offer an eye for design as well as a pragmatic approach to problem solving and negotiation. Responsive, thorough and highly attuned to my clients’ needs, I am committed to providing goal-reaching service.
Past & Present
A Native through and through, I was born in Northern Maine and grew up in Cape Elizabeth. Spending summers on the water and winters in the snow, I was raised embracing the beauty that surrounds us on all sides, in every season. For the past five years, I’ve had the pleasure of living in the vibrant Willard Beach Neighborhood of South Portland with my three lively daughters.
Having a background in Communications Technology & Media Arts has proven useful in today’s digitally driven marketplace. The packaging of real estate relies heavily on the interplay of art and technology.
Beyond Real Estate
Photography, gardening, my girls, documentaries, exploring nature, NPR, physical activity, Monhegan Island, cooking and perusing the many shops, galleries and restaurants on the Peninsula.
For several years, I have been involved with the Haiti-Maine Partnership Committee, working with a school in the northern region.
...Sue Lessard is quite simply the most professional, cheerful, insightful broker I have ever retained.
She positioned my island property in the Portland, Maine, area to sell in one month. Her experienced team of photographers, stagers, painters, house cleaners went to work immediately.
The property was showcased to media who would reach second home buyers in the Maine market.
Sue was willing to listen to my suggestions and concerns, but firm about steps required to make a sale.
She was comfortable working with my team of attorneys and accountants. As an out of state seller, I needed extraordinary support on site. Sue conquered those challenges with humor and enthusiasm.
Last, but not least, she is a clear and consistent communicator.
I heartily recommend Sue, her partner Brenda, and Town & Shore Associates.
Sue is amazing! She helped us buy our first home together, and we were so grateful for her help in navigating us through the home-buying process. Sue was extremely patient with us (we saw a ton of homes) and was very prompt in answering any questions we had. Sue is personable, trustworthy, and knowledgeable about the real estate market. She never pushed us into making a decision, and was a strong advocate for us during the closing process. We highly recommend her!
We are so grateful to have chosen Sue Lessard to market our Falmouth home. Her professionalism and expertise were absolutely invaluable, especially given the fact that our relocation package made our home sale more complicated than most. We were impressed with Sue from beginning to end, and HIGHLY recommend her!
I was fortunate to work with Sue Lessard in my search for a property in downtown Portland. She was a delight to work with throughout the process. Sue combined her extensive knowledge of the area with sound advice, a tactful handling of problems, and personal warmth and humor. Despite her very busy schedule, Sue always made me feel like her top priority, going above and beyond the role of real estate agent to help facilitate all aspects of the process. I strongly recommend her to anyone looking to purchase property in the Portland area.
Sue arranged countless viewings and was tireless in her calm enthusiasm, energy and patience. We felt heard and understood as we gave feedback on what we liked and disliked about each place. Sue ultimately found us the ideal property in the Meeting House Hill neighborhood.
