About Whitney

Whitney brings business experience and a background in law to her real estate career. She is knowledgeable, dedicated and thoroughly enjoys working with both buyers and sellers. She works diligently to find the perfect property for her buyer clients, whether it is a house, condominium, land or an investment opportunity.

Whitney is originally from New Canaan, Connecticut and spent summers with a large extended family on Conway Lake in New Hampshire. Highlights of each summer included hiking trips in the White Mountains and visiting family in Maine.

Whitney attended Westover School in Middlebury, Connecticut and earned her BA from Boston University. She graduated from the Institute for Paralegal Training in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and subsequently moved to Portland in 1976. She was employed by the Cumberland County District Attorney’s office where she started the Victim Witness Assistance program. She later worked for a number of years as a litigation paralegal with a Portland law firm. There she honed her considerable negotiating skills which have proven valuable in her real estate practice.

Whitney and her husband, Chuck, raised two wonderful children in South Portland. Summer weekends were spent at their cottage on Chebeague Island, a welcome retreat from their busy lives. As a family, they enjoyed boating, fishing, clamming, biking and exploring the islands. They also travelled extensively.

Community service has always been an important part of Whitney’s life. She has served on the Westover School Alumnae Board of Governors, the Cheverus High School Board of Trustees and has chaired fundraisers for Waynflete School and many non profit organizations. She is a member of the Portland Board of Realtors, the Maine Association of Realtors, the National Association of Realtors and the Portland Society of Architects.
