Town & Shore Real Estate’s Second Annual Charity Event raised $8,405 in support of Full Plates Full Potential and its work addressing childhood food insecurity in Maine.
On September 24, Town & Shore Real Estate hosted our Second Annual Charity Event in support of Full Plates Full Potential, bringing together friends, families, colleagues, local businesses, and community partners for an evening of connection, generosity, and fun.
Together, we raised $8,405 for Full Plates Full Potential. An $8,000 donation was presented at the event, with additional funds bringing the final total to $8,405 in support of the organization’s work to address childhood food insecurity across Maine.
Beyond the amount raised, the evening was a reminder of what can happen when people gather around a cause that directly impacts Maine children and families.
An Evening for the Whole Family
One of the highlights of the evening was seeing so many families, friends, and colleagues enjoying it together. Our youngest guests brought an unmistakable energy to the night and were at the center of some of our favorite moments.
Players from the Portland Hearts of Pine joined us to meet guests, take photos, and spend time with some of their youngest fans, adding to the excitement for children and adults alike.
Having so many families there felt especially fitting given the reason we had gathered. The energy of our youngest guests was a wonderful reminder of the children at the heart of Full Plates Full Potential’s mission.
Good Food & Great Company
Amy Kayne of 2Gether created a delicious menu for guests to enjoy throughout the evening as friends, families, and colleagues caught up, met new people, and spent time together.
A raffle featuring a signed soccer ball and other prizes brought some friendly competition to the night while generating additional support for Full Plates Full Potential.
From the guests who joined us to the local businesses and organizations that contributed, so many people played a role in making the evening possible.
Supporting Full Plates Full Potential
At the heart of the evening was the mission of Full Plates Full Potential.
One in five Maine children experiences food insecurity. They don’t have to.
Full Plates Full Potential is working to change that. The Maine-based organization works to strengthen child nutrition programs with a vision that every child in Maine has the food they need to thrive and reach their full potential. Through grantmaking, resources and support for meal providers, and advocacy at the state and federal levels, the organization is working toward lasting solutions for children across Maine.
Supporting that work gave the evening a shared purpose and an impact that extends well beyond a single night.
For more than 70 years, Town & Shore has been part of the Greater Portland community, and our relationships here extend well beyond real estate. Supporting Full Plates Full Potential is one way we can help strengthen the communities we are fortunate to call home.
Grateful for a Generous Community
An evening like this is only possible because of the many people who show up and contribute.
To everyone who attended, donated, volunteered, sponsored, provided raffle items, or helped bring the event together, thank you. We are grateful to Full Plates Full Potential for the important work they do throughout Maine, to the Portland Hearts of Pine players for spending the evening with our guests, and to Amy Kayne and 2Gether for helping make the night possible.
Together, we raised $8,405 for Full Plates Full Potential, but the evening represented something equally meaningful: families, friends, colleagues, local businesses, and community partners gathering in support of Maine children.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who made our Second Annual Charity Event possible and look forward to continuing this tradition in the years ahead.
